New Variations in basketry: basketwork of the twenty-one artists which will be on exhibition till January 14, 2017

December 29, 2016

Baskets are traditionally produced from various materials for the use or sale. They are popularly made of rattan, tree leaves or commonly plastic. Unexpectedly, these baskets are purposefully produced based on traditional styles, patterns, and to be shared internationally by artists and designers for the exhibition which will be held from December 2, 2016 to January 14, 2017.
With the available materials, these are the products of the twenty-one artists (Jackie Abrams, Christine Adcock, Dona Anderson, Pamela Becker, Lanny Bergner, and more here), which use both traditional and experimental materials, with much attention paid to color, texture, form…and craftsmanship.
