AQUA is a series of woman underwater oil paintings of Reisha Perlmutter which was connected directly to her experiences of light and nature from her childhood, and her relationship growing up around the presence of water.

Inspired by her internal languages and understanding of the world via creating, and through art, she painted his woman sleeping in water from her sensation, psyche and memories of the silver Gulf of Mexico.

The imagery of this series occurs by using light as its life force. Light and its transience is captured in the moment of a painting’ existence, and held.
