Animal-shaped chairs were manufactured by Spanish artist to pay homage to animal species
To prove the respect and mercy towards a wide range of living species, the Spanish artist, maximo riera, devoted his times around 9-11 weeks to produce ‘animal chair collection’, including octopus, rhino, elephant, hippo, etc.
The completion of each piece, the artist spent an average of 480 hours, according to the statement on designboom.
“This collection gives us an option of admiring what nature is capable of; this is the main reason why from the beginning I wanted to be faithful to the animal’s physique. this series is an homage to these animals and the whole animal kingdom which inhabits our planet, as an attempt to reflect and capture the beauty of nature in each living thing.”, says maximo riera on designboom.
