Old newspapers were turned into sensational animal figures by a Japanese artist

The artist, Chie Hitotsuyama, was born in 1982 in Shizuoka, Japan. She graduated from the Department of Design at Tokyo Polytechnic University in 2004.
According to a full article posted on website of KOKUSAI PULP&PAPER CO;LTD, Hitotsuyama started to produce her three-dimensional works while she was working as an illustrator after her graduation from the university.
Due to the record on her site, she has exhibited her artworks in certain places in Japan such as: Museum of Art and History (2016), Jai&Jai Gallery (2016), The child museum at the H.C Andersen Park / Chiba (2014), Okinawa (2013), etc.
She keeps producing powerful, life-size, three-dimensional works by using original technique in which paper strings made from newspapers are used as a material for folding shapes.
“More than anything else, I’m particular about the realistic feel of the animals,” she said on kppc.
She uses only newspapers and paper strings to build animal figures and sculptures, which you can see some of them below:
