Surreal and exceptional pieces of art which are born and grown from the childhood memory
After her study completion on graphic design and illustration at Central St Martins, Kristjana S Williams has been recognized as Creative Director of Beyond the Valley for 8 years. It was in 2011 that she started to create fine art pieces, art prints, furniture and more.
Based on her inspiration in childhood which lies heavily with layering nature upon nature and the symmetry in all things, she captured and combined those elements together and translated them into striking artwork, which is its own universe of botanicals, atmosphere and animals.
Interestingly, when she grew up, the artist found nature in Iceland start and unforgiving. Never seeing trees or colourful butterflies or exotic flowers – everything seemed grey. Now in retrospect, she feels the complete opposite as though the colours and landscape are like nowhere else in the world.
