“Houl has carved a name for himself with his clean, crisp lines, intricate details and bizarre characters”

The muralist Houl considers his painting marker as a sword used in wars. To him, Houl uses painting marker to earn his glorious reputation via his clean, crisp lines, intricate details and strange characters such as murals or graffiti.
Interestingly, Houl has created a vast collection of twisted characters and kinsmen who adorn the walls, doors, signs and stairwells of Sydney and Canberra, which take the form of paste-ups, stickers and aerosol murals.
Thanks to his attractive, colorful and ethereal artworks, Houl has participated in a growing number of group exhibitions, creating artwork for Absolut Vodka, Grill'd Burgers and Groovin' The Moo, and being the first ever winner of Secret Wars Australia in 2010, Houl has more recently had his artwork projected onto the National Library of Australia, The National Portrait Gallery, Questacon and The Museum of Australian Democracy as part of the 2013 Enlighten Festival.
