April 01, 2017

The Philadelphia-based artist and sculptor Adam Wallacavage taught himself the art of ornamental plastering and started making octopus shaped chandeliers which have been exhibited in various galleries in São Paulo, Rome, London, Miami, Los Angeles, Vienna and New York.
In 2012, Wallacavage had a solo exhibition at the Philadelphia Art Alliance titled Shiny Monsters. Those chandeliers have also been featured in publications such as The New York Times, New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine and TIME Magazine.
Beyond making sculptural works, Wallacavage is also an accomplished photographer. In 2006, Gingko Press published Monster Size Monsters, a book documenting fifteen years of his photography.
