The Bahamas-based underwater photographer Elena Kalis took up photography six years ago as a new way of expressing herself. Before being an underwater photographer, she used to be a traditional artist, brush and paint on canvas. The digital camera and software gave her a great opportunity for producing new images with styles that were impossible to produce in the previous time.

Currently, she is living on a small tropical island spending her time in and under the water where she can experiment with her camera.
